Only an online fashion school - which is accredited - will be able to give you a Bachelor Or Associate Degree worth mentioning.
That means receiving a degree that you can present to a prospective employer - and be taken seriously - for for at the end of your studies...
I’ve put together a list of such online fashion schools as well as a few quick facts about them for your convenience.
If you’re a little impatient, just jump down to the list of accredited online fashion schools here.
But if you’ve got a minute, let’s get a better understanding of the word accredited as it relates to your future online fashion school - so we are all on the same page.
According to me… accredited means -
Accredited:
Denotes that this is a formal school authorised to give out recognised degrees and diplomas. Schools that are part of the same system, should be able to allow students to start their course at one school and finish off somewhere else, because they adhere to the same standards of education.
Udemy may have fashion course, but they are not accredited. You CAN NOT go to say, Parsons with your Udemy certificate and expect that they will let you into the middle of their fashion degree program.
BUT…
You can start off at a community college for the first 2 years of your degree. Then finish of at a bigger university like FIDM or FIT.
And this is very, very important for you to consider….
WARNING: If you are planning on starting at one school and transferring to another, make sure to find out that the school you will go to accepts the credits or qualifications you would have gotten from your last school.
Let’s get not the list of accredited online fashion schools.
